VISA- GOT IT!

Hey gang!!!

Well, after 2 months of little or no change regarding my Paris adventure, FINALLY some good news!! After gathering all the documents needed for my VISA, I went to my appointment today and was approved. I have my VISA!!!! Yay for me!

I was really nervous because I didn't know what to expect. The security guard was so serious and scary. When he asked to see my passport and saw that I was from Val-d'Or, he got really excited and told me he was from Lasarre. Ah! Yes! Way to calm down the EVER so stressful situation. After talking for a few minutes and passing through the metal detector, he sent me right away to my appointment even though I was 20 minutes early. It took about 10 minutes and I was out of there with one tiny problem. I had only bought insurance for 6 months but was asking for a 12 month VISA. The man told me I needed insurance for 12 months if I wanted a 12 month VISA. So I told him I would go purchase insurance for 6 more months as soon as I leave his office. So he finished looking at my documents, told me everything was fine and to come back and get my VISA at 3:00pm. He also told me to bring a copy of my 12 month insurance before 3:00pm. So I did and now, I have an awesome looking page in Passport allowing me to stay in Paris for 12 months and giving me the opportunity to work there if I feel the need too.

Well, I am about one month and a half away from leaving. 43 days to be exact. 43 DAYS!!! HOLY SH*T!!!! I hadn't counted the days in a long time. The last time I did, I was at 67 days away. Boy boy, I know I say it often, but time sure is flying by!!

Tonight I did some Euro-Packing. My room is pretty much all packed. I also started packing some summer clothes. I'M SO EXCITED!!!!

I'm going to Philadelphia in a few days. I'm going to see a Montreal Canadiens vs. Philadelphia Flyers hockey game with my friend Joe. I'm very excited! Go Habs Go!! I am staying at Joe's aunt's house. She is an incredible woman. Out of this world. SO nice and caring! I Love her and her son so much!!! I know I won't want to leave when it will be time too!! I am also very excited to see my friend Chris David, who I met in Paris and met again in Amsterdam and Munchen. What a great person!
I will also spend a few days in NYC with my friend Ayana, who was my first ever couch surfing host and she was just AMAZING that we kept in touch and when I go to NYC I stay with her and we have the best time ever. It should be veryyyy exciting!!!!!!

Well I will keep all of you posted when more happens!!!
In the mean time... ROCK ON!
Much Love!
